Concierge Medicine for Women in Baton Rouge
One physician, more time, and care built around your whole life
Most women know the routine: a short appointment, a doctor typing while you talk, and questions that never get asked. Concierge medicine was built to change that. It gives you more time with your physician, easier access between visits, and a doctor who knows your history.
At Femme Executive Health, concierge care is led by Dr. Kate Freeman, a board-certified family medicine physician and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). Femme cares only for women, from age 16 through every stage that follows, and the practice stays small on purpose so every patient gets the time she needs.
What Is Concierge Medicine?
Concierge medicine is a model of primary care where patients pay an annual membership for more time and closer access to their physician. Because the practice cares for fewer patients, appointments are longer, visits are easier to schedule, and you can reach your doctor directly between visits. You still have a primary care physician who handles prevention, sick visits, and ongoing conditions. The difference is how much time and attention that care gets.e
What Every Membership Includes
Every Femme membership includes primary care throughout the year with Dr. Freeman: preventive care, sick visits, ongoing conditions, and women’s health care in one place. The levels differ in the testing and assessments included, from foundational labs to advanced heart, hormone, and longevity screening.
Included in every membership:
Longer, unhurried appointments with Dr. Freeman
An annual comprehensive wellness exam, including a female wellness exam with breast and pelvic exam as clinically indicated
Cervical cancer screening (Pap and HPV testing) when indicated
Sick visits and management of ongoing conditions
Secure messaging and after-hours clinical guidance
Coordination of preventive screenings and specialist referrals
Follow-up visits are billed through your medical insurance.
Concierge membership fees vary by practice and by what is included. Femme has four membership levels: Foundation at $1,200 a year, best suited for women ages 16 to 35; Comprehensive at $3,000 a year, the most popular, which adds a full women’s hormone panel and expanded heart and metabolic testing; Sage at $6,000 a year, for women 65 and up; and Platinum at $14,000 a year, which includes the annual Executive Physical and direct cell phone access to Dr. Freeman.
Membership is separate from insurance. Femme bills your insurance for covered services throughout the year, including sick visits, follow-up appointments, lab work, imaging, and preventive screenings when applicable. The membership covers the time, access, and depth of care that insurance does not pay for.
How Much Does Concierge Medicine Cost?
How Concierge Care Works at Femme
Meet Dr. Freeman first. The complimentary Welcome Visit is an hour-long conversation about the practice, with no obligation to join.
Choose your membership. Pick the level that fits your age, your health, and how much testing you want. Dr. Freeman can help you decide.
Start with a full evaluation. Your first visits cover your history, your current health, and what you want from your care, with lab work based on your membership.
Stay in touch between visits. Message Dr. Freeman directly and get after-hours guidance when something comes up.
Plan for the years ahead. Prevention and screening are planned around your stage of life, and your plan is reviewed as your needs change.
Is Concierge Medicine Worth It?
It depends on what you want from your care. Concierge medicine can be especially valuable for women who want more time with a physician who truly knows them—particularly when they’re managing multiple health concerns, navigating perimenopause or menopause, or simply don’t have room in their lives for long waits and rushed appointments.
If you feel well, see your doctor once a year, and feel that your current care gives you what you need, a traditional practice may serve you perfectly well. But if you’re looking for more time, more access, and a more thoughtful, personalized approach to your health, concierge care may be worth the investment.
